National Day Fireworks (Oct. 1)

The National Day fireworks celebration is supposed to be the biggest fireworks event of the year in Hong Kong. And I have to admit, it was definitely one of the best I've ever seen! Okay, so we camped out for 6 hours before the fireworks began (9pm) to claim the perfect spot by Victoria Harbor at the Avenue of Stars, but the 20-minute show was worth it. Leslie and I were with the CUHK Photo Club, and I borrowed a friend's SLR. It was my first time really working with such a nice camera, so I needed lots of help... Lesson one: how to switch the language settings from German to English, haha! Very useful indeed :)

2:30 - 9pm: Waiting

9 - 9:20pm: The Show

All I heard were the "ooo"s and "ahhh"s behind me and the sound of fireworks in front of me. And when I turned around,  I see everyone's faces lit up in red or green, and they're all smiling :)

After 9pm: Dinner with Photo Club and misc. friends...
