And just like that, Week Two is over! My friend Penny and I came to a daunting realization today that we will be leaving CUHK in less than
three months! At times, I cannot help but feel that everything here is temporary. Maybe some things just seem too good to be true and too good to last (hopefully the people are not...
J). Before we know it, we will be crying our goodbyes. We would go back to our mundane lives - in Korea, Japan, California, Australia, Switzerland, Germany, France - bringing with us only stories and pictures of the people who have been so prominent in our lives in the past months. It would be like retelling a dream that you no longer have access to. And my goodness, in reality, those people would be hundreds and
thousands of miles away! -sigh- BUT, on the bright side, this gives a good excuse to travel! I have already begun planning my world tour (which will probably end up spanning my lifetime, haha) visiting friends that I have made/will make here. teehee

| Me and my roommate, Angela, from Hangzhou, China. It's her first year at CU so we're both experiencing our "firsts" together. She is so cute, especially when practicing her Cantonese! She came back today exclaiming how some college students can be so mature while others so utterly immature, haha. |
| After a "Korean" dinner with friends in Mongkok, naturally we headed out for HK dessert @Hui Lau Shan! |
| I think it was... Mango sorbet with mango, coconut juice, and glutinous black rice. Yummmm! |
| I love to walk around campus at night to enjoy the views , but unfortunately, this is also the prime time for bugs to seek their prey (which is ALWAYS ME!) Sorry Leslie, dragged you down with me this time, hahaha. |
| Leslie, Melissa, and I after having a super-cheap/delicious/fun dinner at a Japanese restaurant in Tai Po. |
| It was like window shopping, but better cause it's food! It's one of those places where the dishes go around on the conveyor belt and you just take whatever you want to eat. 12 HKD for any one plate of sushi! |
| haha, Melissa chose the Fried Cheese Balls and Ramen. The cheese oozes out of the fried fish ball, you see? J |
The plan for tomorrow: Food Tour #1 - Destination: HK Central (don't you love the idea of a food tour in HK? I'm sooo looking forward to my authentic HK dan taht...)
The plan for next week: Attend orientations for student clubs I want to join - Outdoors Activities Club (they go canoeing, hiking, etc. in HK. Exactly what I've been looking for!), Ultimate Frisbee (to remind me of DB <3, hehe), and Photography Club (members get unlimited access to the dark room to develop photos O.O hooray!)
