Making Memories

"don't you worry, there my honey
we might not have any money
but we've got our love to pay the bills
maybe I think you're cute and funny,
maybe I wanna do what bunnies do with you,
if you know what I mean

Oh, let's get rich and buy our parents homes in the South of France
let's get rich and give everybody nice sweaters
and teach them how to dance
let's get rich and build our house on a mountain
making everybody look like ants
from way up there, you and I, you and I, you and I,

well you might be a bit confused
and you might be a little bit bruised
but baby how we spoon like no one else
so I will help you read those books
if you will soothe my worried looks
and we will put the lonesome on the shelf "

Melissa brought me to a street where every store sells arts & crafts stuff! Beads galore! I think I could spend a whole day there.

Shopping, shopping, everywhere!

But we prefer shopping for food ;)

@Dragon Centre. Best egglettes found where we least expected...

They are CHOCOLATE-filled. Say no more.

Okonomiyaki (sp?)

University Station. Heading out for some exploring/wandering/picture-taking :)
I will really really miss the convenience of having the train station practically on campus.

These things are so addicting! They're called Lamingtons. The cake on the inside is super duper soft! mmmMMmm...

Big Buddha on Lantau Island. I want to go back again when there are less tourists. It would be nice to go on a hike, have a picnic on the grass, look out at the mountains, and do some relflection... Hehe :]

She's such a cutie. And I'm such a creeper, haha!

We made use of every form of transportation to and from the Big Buddha: train, bus, ferry, and cable car!

20th :)
Hugs to everyone for celebrating with me. And extra hugs to Melissa and Leslie for planning this!  <3

We had a wide variety of Asian snacks, haha.

<3 The best birthday gift was meeting all of you, and knowing that I will leave HK with these new friendships!

My first package in the mail! Loved the belated gifts. They were a special surprise! The Clara Chung CD was perfect for the sleepy sunny day : )

Peek-a-boo. SO CUTE! SO SOFT!!!

The screen of my trusty old digital camera broke! :'( So now I'm shopping for a new camera...

Group dinner in New Asia canteen.
I usually don't get the chance to take pictures during rush hours (lunch and dinner time), but I think the canteens will be one of the most memorable things for me at CUHK, haha. Friends and Food, yes please :)

There was a super mini version of Sun God at New Asia and Shaw college. People were much more behaved here though, haha. There were many booths where students could sell crafts and accessories and other cute things. And of course, there's food too!

Leslie, Lu, and Melissa, still running on the sugar high from the piece of cheesecake xD

It's HUGE! AHHHHHHH D:

FOOD TOUR #2: Prince Edward & Fo Tan (9.30.10)

I promised to bring Melissa to try Taiwanese shaved ice, so why not share the joy and make a  group food date out of it? :D

Invited Huining and Tina to come along too - together, the six of us made a perfect group :)

oh, so hungry! Especially Melissa, she's so ready to dig in, haha!

~Mango Ice + Dragon Fruit~

~Milk Ice + Taro~

~Mocha Ice + Jelly & Boba~
It was my third time at 四哥 and we definitely made the best selections this time. Each one was sooo good, yum!

NOMS! haha, so cute!

Hooray! We love sharing.

It's not easy fitting six people into a picture. My arms are short!

New friends, good food, a night ahead of us - smiles all around!

Shopping, of course ;D

We love air con!

On a shady-looking lift... "Quick, take a picture!"

CHEEEEEESE :D

Leslie and Melissa learning Cantonese on the train. Ngoh jungyi nei!!

Rain drops are fallin' on ma head...

Thank goodness Tina and Huining knew exactly where to go for Dai Pai Dong. They brought us to one in Fo Tan,  and everything was scrumptious! =d

Melissa and Penny :)
